Cafe Merdici is a quite popular place on The Drag in front of the University of Texas (and there's another location in Downtown Austin). The items on the menu are averagely prices with iced teas around $2.65 to $3.00 and soy chais around $4 to $5. It's a really cool atmosphere with students, faculty, and anyone else in between coming into the shop to do homework, have meetings and catch up with new friends. The day I went was earlier this week and it was quite busy, especially with undergraduate students coming back to Austin and professors meeting with their students. I really enjoy that the shop has two floors that you can choose from to find your ultimate study spot, though I prefer the first floor. If you prefer a quieter study space, then Cafe Merdici may not be the spot for you. But if you enjoy bustling spaces with the chance the meet new people (or people watch), this is a good place for you!
